Scarf + Hood...

I made this piece a few weeks ago, but getting a shot of it in action proved more difficult than sewing it was. It is simply a scarf attached to a hood, but it is pretty darn cute & the hood hangs really well when not worn on the head.

Hood

The wool is from Tessuti & it is so soft, no complaints from the girl child about the scarf being scratchy. With a bit of creative cutting I even managed to get everything cut out of 40cms of fabric.

Hood

This pattern is from this Japanese pattern book, but unlike the pattern I chose to line my hood & I'm glad I did, although I'm not so sure about my lining choice.

Such a great idea, beautifully made ... Tessuti is a special store isn't it? I still have some precious linen remaining from my visit there.

See, I was about to go all gushy about that quilt top up there and then I spotted this. Perfect, C. Everything. Couldn't gush enough. No gush left for the quilt top above...

It is absolutely gorgeous, everything about it. I have that book too and there are so many adorable things that I need to make. Just finished one of the blouses from my husband's City shirt.

What a cute idea, my little boy has a rather large head, so hoods on his coats never fit him properly, you're giving me ideas now!
