Avoidance...

I have been doing a bit of trying up in my sewing room this weekend, something that I generally avoid. The upshot has being seeing just what fabrics I have in my stash & getting inspired to use them, but it is rather depressing to remember how long ago I purchased some of the fabric & the fact that I never got around to using it as I had planned.

Baby Quilt

As a distraction I sewed up a small quilt top without so much a trip to a fabric shop. I enjoyed using what I had on hand & I think the result is rather sweet, & surprisingly pink!

Baby Quilt

I also found this cute flannel scrap so I rounded the corners, sewed on some bias binding & it's currently in Willow's pram keeping one of her charges warm & snug. Waste not want not!

Flannel + Binding

I have to get back to the job of tidying now, at least until I can find another excuse to sew some more.

Pretty pretty quilt top! I love "tidying" my stash and getting inspired by what's there - all those forgotten purchases.

Can't wait to see more of your quilt.

Lovely quilt top and so glad you have crossed to the dark side...in more ways than one ;)

I will have to admire your handiwork than do any myself :(

If tidying would result in such a beautiful quilt I might even try it myself!

The quilt top is so pretty and lucky you to rediscover such lovely fabric! The bibs look nice too, yellow is a favourite color of mine. Hope you discover some more lovelies to sew up soon!

If this piece of gorgeousness is what you come up with while avoiding, then please avoid some more! Love the fabrics, I spy a bit of Liberty in there!

I have always admired that Liberty design and I love your other fabric choices - especially the elephants.
