Progress...

Quilt

So all that chopping (& sewing) turned into my first ever full sized quilt top. I would love to show you a finished quilt, but it is waiting for it's turn at the long arm quilter.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product, although realistically once I wait to get it back (& then find the time to bind it), that will be a fair way off. In the meantime I am playing with some fabric to make Willow a lap quilt, as you can see there will be lots of pink involved, a colour I struggle with, but she loves. Hopefully I can create something that we can both live with.

Your quilt will be stunning! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished, too :-)

So much lovely quiltiness!!
Embrace the pink!

I see you are opting for the 'splashes of pink' approach. You could be on to something. Failing that, I'm sure hot pink tulle sewn in to the binding will win the vote of approval (while you rock in the corner).

I love pink quilts. Love them! Your fabrics are going to be particularly lovely when they become a quilt.

I can't wait to see that quilt finished!
I love your fabric choices for Willow's quilt too, just enough pink. ;)

I struggle with the pink, too, but you've chosen some lovely ones.

Love the grey spots - double gauze??

The quilt top looks wonderful - great colour combo. And I'm sure you'll make the pink work. I grows on you, believe me!

Your quilt is beautiful! I can't wait to see it quilted.

I see you've been very discerning in your pink selections. The fave poppies in your lease fave colour.

I struggle with pink too. Which is why my five-year old pink loving girl will be the last one to get a quilt in our house, poor love!

Can't wait to see those beautiful colours and strips once your quilt is back from getting it's treatment!

I really struggle with pink too! I'm much happier with the greys and greens and blues - like the quilt you have at the longarm quilters!
