Inside & Out...

Ball

I've lost count of how many of these balls I have made, I started this one in December when a friend had a baby boy, so when I found it in my to do pile recently I though I had better finish it before he graduated high school!

Ball

It's a mixture of cotton & linen scraps with a couple of little ribbon tags & his initials crossed stitched onto one of the sides.

Inside it is full of wool roving & a little cat toy.

The cross stitch is so delicate and gorgeous Christie. I'm sure he is now the perfect age to enjoy it ;)

Better late than never and you know the saying 'good things come to those who wait'...very appropriate here.

I love making those little balls too -such fun and such a sweet little baby gift! Thanks for the idea of embroidering initials, I'd never thought of doing that.

Lovely work! Makes me think I'd better get on with the quilt for my niece. Started before she was born. She turns 2 next month!

It is such a beautiful and sweet thing. You may feel as though you have made dozens but each one I see seems so fresh. Love the little tags too.

Lovely colours! The car tag is so cute. And using the cat toy is such a great idea (I've used film canisters with lentis - yours is a much, much better idea).
