Hand Piecing...

Earlier in the week I went along to a hand piecing class at Patchwork on Central Park with Kate. I love hand stitching & the idea of hand piecing a full sized quilt is something that's really appealing to me.

Liberty Tin

Over time I have been collecting pieces of blue Liberty fabric & squirreling them away in a tin. On Monday night I cut into the first piece & began working on a six point star. This is a long term project, so don't expect to see the finished quilt anytime in the near future, but if you would like to get an idea of what I'm working on have a look over here.

You're a girl after my own heart with all those pretty blue Liberty prints. I have a a few that I can't see in your stash, so if you want to add to your collection, just say the word. I have so many small pieces that would be perfect for your project.

Absolutely stunning, what a beautiful quilt this will be. And hand piecing is such a lovely way to make it.
