Library Bag...

Library Bag

I have been putting off sewing Willow a library bag for the past 2 months. Given that she needed her library bag today, last night I started sewing. I tried to keep it simple, using my favourite elephant print, some printed pink cotton & cream wool felt. Everything I needed to make this I already had on hand, & once I had sewed on the name, it was a fairly fast project.

Library Bag

It passed the test today, transporting home with Willow's very first school library book.

Very cute. I love how you have sewn on her name. I have been putting off sewing Caleb's library bag too, so much so that I sent him to school with a canvas tote bag we have lying around.

Ok..Maddie must NEVER see this because you know what will happen if she does and quite frankly, if I had to stitch 'Madeline' onto anything I would probably have a nervous breakdown.

Lo is one lucky little lady - a beautiful bag x

What a gorgeous library bag.
Did the other mothers look at you with that look of "Now I'LL have to learn to sew. DAMN!!!"

That is too gorgeous. Is the name cut out in felt, and then sewn on?

That is a lovely library bag. I agree with others that the name on it looks fab!! I'm sure she would have been very proud to show it off to friends and teachers. My kids just love it when I sew them things to use at school... which too, is often finished the night before.

I spent last night making my son a library bag that he needed today too. He carted home his first library books today and told me that 'all his friends thought it was so cool'. I guess it past the test too!

Love the name on your bag, maybe next time I will get a bit more adventurous and do that instead of just a big ol' M :)

Gorgeous felty applique. Fab fabric. I once stood in the queue at Spotlight for that bottom one. Approximately seventeen years it took.
