Hot & Not....

Hot...

Pretending to be a lady who lunches. Fabulous fun, until it's kinder pick up time & you have to run off like cinderella & park illegally in the school carpark. It was hot while it lasted!

Pimm's. I am sure I have mentioned this before, but I do love a Pimm's. Lots of ice, dry ginger, lemonade & fresh mint from the garden.

Pink. Bonus point for sparkles. I have had my way with Willow's clothing selection for a while now, but alas it is over. We have been struck down with fairy princess syndrome & I am not coping too well. Maybe I need a Pimm's!?

Run

Vampire novels. There I said it. I am enjoying the escapism of the Sookie Stackhouse novels & looking forward to watching True Blood.

Not...

This ridiculous weather. What happened to Spring? Why have we gone from Winter to Summer, Spring is put in the middle for a reason!

Knitting in the aforementioned weather. I am soldering on, but it isn't pretty!

Knitting

Ants. They have started invading. It doesn't help that Lo has a totally irrational fear of them & other harmless insects like ladybugs. I kid you not, she is petrified of ladybugs!?

More hot & not stuff over at Claire's.

Like I have said to others...you can run, but you can't hide - from the pink fairy invasion that is!

I cannot tell you how pleased I am to have brought another one over to the dark side x

I love Pimms too! I have just stocked up for a weekend knitting away with the girls :)

I am very and completely NOT looking forward to the pink invasion...

ohhh! Me too for the sookie series! I read the series last week and have been lent the first season of trueblood to begin. Am trying to set up a marathon weekend for my other vamp obsessed friends!

I am so hearing you! Missy has the same irrational fear of ladybugs. She wakes up crying "ladybugs on my face" and clawing at her cheeks. I have no idea where this fear comes from. Aren't ladybugs suppose to be the friendliest of insects?

Its enough to make you go searching for a pimms at 3am! Ahhh...I love summer for the pimms.

Everything is better with Pimms!

Its always a great disappointment when the ants reappear. We use one of those metered pyrethrum sprays to keep them at bay. Failing that, always detest having talcum powder laid in their tracks. Alternately why not give them some Pimms, so they stagger off course?

I'm not normally the type, but I went with the whole vampire trend (but did the Twilight books). Such a departure from True Blood. I haven't read the TB books, but have seen the first two tv series of it. Be warned - it's very full on. Obviously not too much though, since I've managed to watch 2 series!

We had a fly thing at one point. Crikey. Australia. Middle of summer. Fly fear.

I may or may not have turned to the Pimms.

The pink princess thing makes me glad I have boys. Pimms might be the only rational response.

Hot does not equal happy knitters!! I've put my wool to the side for a few days and am working with cotton instead. It's definitely more pleasant, though I really want to keep working on my wool item!! I am so looking forward to Monday when it's a little cooler ;-)
