Teeny, Tiny Knitting...

So after a few false starts & mistakes the knitting is going full steam ahead, or as least it was until my husband asked me who's newborn baby I was knitting for!? So after vehemently defending the size of my knitting, I have to admit, it is rather small. Quite small in fact. I am actually worried that it I managed to squeeze Willow into it I would actually have to cut her out of it again. So what to do... I was going to frog it & start again on larger needles until blocking was suggested. So I am going to finish it off & if stretching the bejesus out of it fails, then I shall start all over again.

Lets cross our fingers shall we! Also, just in case the knitting bug has actually bitten me, I have decided to join Ravelry & I am feeling all at sea over there. Any Ravelry tips would be greatly appreciated!

Oh & for some reason (lighting condition methinks) the jumper looks completely different colours in these pictures. The second image is true to colour.

Oh, gorgeous! Such neat, even stitches. So your tensions a little off- it's good practice. I would be SO proud of that, put it away for a baby gift! Next one's for Willow....

It will be gorgeous! No ravelry tips - fabulous amazing place but it can be a time sucker.

Oh i certainly think the knitting bug has bitten you! I can't believe that you've only just started to knit and you're producing sweaters, never mind how small they are ;)

I love the colour and your stitching is SO neat! Block and stretch and you may have just oulled it off! I can't believe how speedy you are on the needles!

I hope the blocking works as it looks so good! Even if it doesn't, it is a learning curve and you are still miles in front of me! Good luck. :)

Wow, such neat knitting! It's lovely, even if it does turn out to be too small. I think knitting is something you can definitely do!

yay for finishing it. Blocking should make a pretty big difference otherwise you could just frog it back to the arm pits and go again from there as the top doesn't look too small.
Rav tips - set aside a chunk of time to go exploring, remember to fave or queue stuff when you see it in case you can't find it again and start making friends as the 'friend activity' tab is a fantastic way to see what people are making, finding & liking :).

Oh that's gorgeous!

If it doesn't fit Willow you could always make her a more Willow sized one and then felt this one in the washing machine for one of her doll's to wear - matching clothes is too cute!

Good luck with the froggy - what water does to wool is AMAZINGLY scary at times:)

You have done so well. Rav tips: I love to check out what my friends have been doing and as Mary said que and favour away - except now I have so many things in the que and favoured that it is hard to find them there too - oh well:)

I am mumsbusycrafting on Rav if you would like to befriend me:)
