Knitting...

I am really enjoying my knitting right now, I think I am spurred on but the idea of completing an actual wearable garment.
Knitting

I cast on all by myself & I've even made it through my first ever yarn over increase. I am knitting every chance I get & find myself carrying my knitting with me around the house so I can keep going. I am looking forward to curling up by the fire tonight for a bit more knitting, but I am sure I can fit in a few more rows before then!

Nice work! It looks like you're using circular needles, and managed to cast on without twisting it! Very impressive. I'm on take 4 with my first circular needle attempt, so to get it right first time? Wow!

I'm with Cathy, I love getting so excited about a project that I can't wait to work on it. I go with that feeling if it is a biog project and get as much done as possible while I can't think about anything else as it is all too easy to get distracted by other crafty projects....

It looks great and the photo is great. Hope you got those rows in! :)

Hey! Congrats on your efforts. It sounds like you are taking to knitting like a duck to water.

Yup. That's bitten. (but just think of all those future kinder/school pick up waits, the half hour swimming lessons, the taikwondo, yada yada: portable crafting gold)...

I've recently discovered a love of knitting as well. I'm working on a scarf for my husband at the moment, and it's coming along nicely. Hope your project doesn't take you too long though! :)

Congrats on the knitting. I haven't found a link that shows you how to start the next row using circular needles so right now I'm sticking with my two needles. I have discovered cable which is incredibly easy. I wish it were still Winter so I could knit some more! Maybe Ravelry might have more info.
