Ball for PANDA...

Rainbow

A little bit of stitching, inspired by this beautiful girl's growing babe. Underneath is the Liberty fabric that I have chosen to line the vintage coat. The coat itself is off at the dry-cleaners (sans lining) & I am trying to pluck up the courage to start cutting into the Liberty fabric.

Ball

I finished a second paper pieced ball, this one is off to Aunty cookie for the PANDA auctions. Can you believe that PANDA get ZERO government funding, don't get me started on that issue...

Oh, my goodness. The coat is beautiful already, but with that lining, your small person is going to have to wear it inside out!

I love the ball! Thanks for the heads up about PANDA, I just visited their site.

You make the most beautiful baby toys. These balls are no exception. You've inspired me to give paper piecing and those tiny stitches a go...one day.

Love it! Love seeing the old paper piecing method used too, not many people do this anymore and have no idea what I am talking about. There is always something so satisfying about having the pieces there done and ready to sew together. I've crossed over to the dark side now, and my husbands grandmother is teaching me to machine patchwork. But you can't achieve beautiful small pieces like yours, other than by hand.

Pluck up that courage and sew sew sew! We're all holding our breath and very excited to see the result.

Love the colours in this, just beautiful. I meant to ask what you ended up using for the bell/squeaker inside it? Did you go with the kinder surprise method again?
