Making Labels...

This is a little project that we have been working on over the last few weeks, labels for our newly planted veggie patch.

Making Labels

I started by doing some very basic veggie drawings (or you could use clip-art) & then writing the vegetable names underneath in pencil. I then handed them over to Ryder to practice his handwriting & colouring.

Making Labels

Because I wanted to make the labels a bit smaller (& Ryder can't write very small- he is only three) once he had finished writing & colouring I reduced the images on my colour printer. Once the size was right I cut them out, rounded the corners with my corner cutter & then had them laminated.

Label

We rounded up some sticks from the garden & stuck them on the back with electrical tape, because it was the strongest tape I could find in the house!

Beetroot

Then came the fun part, sticking them in the garden.

Gardening

I don't know how well they will fair in the elements, but they look cuter then the little plastic ones that came with the plants & it was a great project to get Ryder involved with the garden.
