On Off My Desk...

My desk was a hive of activity last night, but not today...

Cowboy

Last night I was busy creating a Woody costume for Ryder to wear in his Kinder Christmas play today. You may recall the op-shopped Cowboy hat, it got a coat of paint to match his boots & belt which I had to cut down to Ryder size. The shirt was purchased, but I made the bandanna & vest to complete the look.

Cowboy

Naturally I think that he looks cute as pie.

When Roger took him to kinder this morning a couple of kids yelled out 'look, it's Woody!' & poor Ryder got very upset & yelled back 'no, I'm a cowboy!'. Oh well.

Cowboy

Seeing Ryder up on stage was a bit overwhelming & emotional, but I guess this is the result of a year that has been a big one for him & us. Watching him navigate this new environment without us, seeing him become more confident with people & in his own capabilities is wonderful & I guess the milestones that we have seen are just the beginning...

Sorry to cheat this week Kirsty, if you want to see what is actually on some desks, then have a lookie here.

It was very emotional for me as well and reminded me of two little girls I saw at Kinder concerts and dancing concerts. I too liked to see he is much more confident and next year he will probably take over, if he doesn't Willow certainly will when it is her turn.

Oh just reading that made me feel a bit emotional! I love his little outfit, and the pride - oh my goodness - the pride. Such a sweet post. Your beautiful babe.

Well I think he looks just like a cowboy and not Woody at all! very cute! Kinder is a big year with lots of milestones. Make sure you keep some of his little papers back so you can look at them when he is 10! :)

Bless him - he's gorgeous! I have just come back from the kinder AGM for my last little one who's off to 3 year old next year. It is the first little step to letting them go off into the big wide world really and I can't believe she's old enough already. And you do know you'll keep getting proud and emotional at stuff no matter what age they are!
