Mirabel...

Panda

I have two beautiful kids who have a pretty good life. Home is a safe place for them & they are surrounded by people who take care of them. There is food in the cupboards & clothes in their drawers, & whilst I hope that they are not spoilt, they don't want for much. I am not writing this to give myself a pat on the back, lots of kids live the way my kids do, but unfortunately not all children are so lucky.

Pip wrote a pretty amazing post about this very issue & I really hope that if you haven't read it already that you do right now. This problem is right under our noses & we can do something to help.

If you would like to do something hop over here & see what you can do. Some of the things that most kids take for granted could be a big deal to the kids that the Mirabel foundation supports. At the very least a small donation could go a long way & would be gratefully received.

Of course the other thing that you can do is to spread the word. If you have a blog write a post about it, email your friends about the Mirabel foundation or tell someone that you think would like to get involved. This is not about supporting drug addicts but about helping children who find themselves in situations that they should not be in...

The Mirabel Foundation, what do they do...?

Making a softie for Mirabel...

I can't sew, how can I help...?

This sounds like a really good organization. Thanks for posting about it.
