Skirt...

I whipped up this little skirt for Lo last night. No pattern, just a rectangular piece of fabric, some binding & elastic basically. The skirt is navy linen & I love this fabric so much, I wish I had more of it. Instead of folding up the hem it I enclosed the bottom edge with the binding, which was easy & I like the stripy detail it adds. She tried it out at the farm today & I think it was a hit, but I did make it with Spring in mind...

New Skirt

There are a couple of good tutorials out there if you want to make a similar skirt, one by oliver + s & another by house on hill road.

The skirt looks gorgeous. The girl's got style! I love it. I'd love one like that. So sweet, and looks so cute with gumboots.

Oooh that is gorgeous!
I love the bias trim (so much easier than making a nice neat hem) and a fab detail.
Looks like it's perfect for twirling.

We have quite a few of these in our cupboard and coming up to summer especially it's probably time to revisit the pattern.

Oh Christie, I thought of you all last night, you poor thing being there having to watch our boys loose. I was more upset about the fact that your were there, probably in a sea of Collingwood supporters getting more and more feral by the minute. I really think our boys could have been a bit more considerate for your sake. You know it's a bit selfish to loose really, since you were there and everything. xxx
