S Is For Sewing...

I have found a new blog called Neu4bauer & I am hooked! Therese & Eva-Maria are Mother & daughter & man can they sew. After seeing this beautiful skirt that they made I had monograms on my mind & Theresa was kind enough to share some vintage embroidery patterns that she had found.

S is for Sewing

I need a bit more practice with the embroidery, but it was fun to do. It is a little linen needle book, with a felt rectangle inside to hold your needles. It really needs something to keep it closed, but I didn't think about that until it was too late.

Inside

I am already dreaming of what I can embroider on next... maybe a a monogrammed pocket on a white linen shirt for Lolo.

My mum is the embroiderer in our family, I don't think I have the patience, but I love what you've done.

Here's the link for the button supplier I use - mind you, trusting my memory I overstated their cheapness, but considering I'd bought them in plastic in groups of 5 from Spotlight in the past, they're still way cheap for me. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5010363
