Yum...

Last night I took a cupcake class from Vida of Class Cupcakes. It is being kind to say that cooking (or baking for that matter) is not my strong suit but I do love sweet things & have been dying to get some tips on how to master the art of cupcake making. It must be said that a bunch of girls & a sea of cupcakes, frosting, sprinkles, glitter, flowers & all manner of cupcake adornments made for a very fun evening. Vida is such a gracious host & patient teacher & by the end of the evening I had even mastered a good frosting swirl. I came home with a dozen decorated cupcakes, a bag of goodies to get me started at home (including recipes) & lots of great ideas.

Next time there is a cake stall or any other kind of 'bring a plate' occasion at Ryder's school I will be ready to wow everyone with my cupcake prowess. I know how to win hearts & popularity!
How cute are the Cookie Monster & Elmo cupcakes!? If you want more info on Vida's cupcake classes, have a look here. Yum!

Amazing!! what frosting recipe did you use to get it to hold its swirl (must be quite a stiff icing)? Those Elmo cupcakes are adorable...

Yep Cookie Monster and Elmo are gorgeous.
But really what I'm here to say is I know, I let you down with our boys, and I don't know what's gotten in Roosy 's head, it seems to be getting worse each passing day, ( although Barry did write a sweet piece in the age). I'm well do better next time I promise, Barry and I both!!xoxo

Cupcakes are officially my most favourite food of all time. And I never even thought that you could do a CLASS on how to make amazing little cupcakes! How fun!

Well I am jelous! Cupcakes are one of my most favorite things and those look great! You will be the most popular mom ever! I may have to use my persuasion skills to have some of my foody friends give me a lesson. The problem is that with just me and hubby, I end up eating them all! I need to find a recipe that makes only 2, lol. Thanks for sharing, and making me hungry. Love Stacy

Hi Sharon,

Yep she gives you info on where to get everything you need & she sells some things that you can only usually buy in bulk, but the best bit is that you go home with a bag full of stuff to get you started!
