The Princess...

Here is the Princess that I started working on last week. She is destined to become a quilt for the doll quilt swap #4. I really liked this idea when I started it, however a few mishaps along the way (those stupid transfer pencils do not work) made me wonder whether the whole thing was going to turn into a disaster.

Princess

I actually like her again & I think I will be really sad to see her go when she is finished. Perhaps I should be making 2 so I can keep one for myself...?

I have almost finished embroidering her, she just need some hands & some more hair, oh & I have to work out how to removed the pink smudges from the transfer pencil...

She looks gorgeous Christie. I'm not a big fan of the pencil either. I prefer the fade out or wash out markers.

she looks like a character out of one of L. Frank Baum's Oz books that I read over and over again as a kid. I love this!
