California Dreaming...

It is far from warm in Melbourne at present, so after our jaunt in the States I have been dreaming of tropical weather & summery clothes. With that in mind I whipped up this little shirt dress for Lo, the kind of thing that she can wear over her bathers or a nappy in Summer.
I love this tropical fabric, I picked up at the op shop ages ago for a couple of dollars & I still have metres of it left. Naturally to model this dress Lo had to team it with a skivvy & gumboots (rather than bathers) lest she freeze, but it still looks pretty cute.
I haven't gone completely mad sewing Summer clothes in Winter, we are heading for warmer weather soon on a little family holiday & Willow has already grown out of most of her Summer clothes. The girl is a giant!

Oh Christie - it's gorgeous & so is she. I'm a bit jealous of your planned holiday.
