Very Good Mail...

When I start to lose faith in human nature it seams that the universe reminds me that there are still some very kind & generous people out there, even if they are on the other side of the world!
A little while ago a very sweet lady by the name of Shannon emailed me & asked if I would mind if she sent me some fabric. Of course I wasn't about to say no to that! In the mean time I discovered that Shannon has actually published some of her quilting patterns & even demonstrated some of her techniques on Simply quilts. So not only is she nice, but also super talented. Very Cool.
So today this fantastic bundle of fabric arrived, along with a copy of one of her quilting patterns called Garden Party & a great book called Autumn by Susan Branch (which is full of inspiring recipes & craft ideas). This kind of generosity just blows me away, thank you so much Shannon. I would love to make Shannon's ladybug quilt, but I think I will need to master the art of applique first!

What a wonderful gift, from a wonderful lady!

I'm working on my very first applique right now, so fun (and a little nerve-wracking) to try something new!

p.s. I flickr mailed you back this morning.

Lucky you! Would you mind...lol. Which of us would?!?? The Susan Branch books are really little works of art- simple, and touching.
