On My Desk...

I have been sporadically playing along with Kirsty on this one, so here is my other desk today. A good friend has lent me some cool vintage patterns for Lo which I can't wait to try out. I love vintage sewing patterns although the terminology does confuse me a bit at times, luckily the trusty Internet holds all the answers. This desk is my sewing desk, downstairs in the dungeon of our house. I have been putting off posting a pic of this desk as it is in total state of chaos & disorder. I decided this week to post it in the hope that it may force me to clean it up... we shall see. Claire & Kirsty have posted their 'messy desks' but really I don't think that they compare, you could quite easily loose a small child in my sewing room... Things never got out of control like this when my sewing stuff lived in a cupboard in the laundry!

It looks like a very productive space! You are lucky to have so much room in which to spread out. My sewing room doubles as the guest room and as we have the in-laws arriving next week, I have to start tidying up and finding other places in the house to stash my ever growing sewing and craft supplies.

It's amazing just how fast a sewing space can turn into a mess. I currently have sewing stuff in piles all over the kitchen table because every surface is covered in mess in my sewing room.

I think it looks well loved!!!! mine is neat at the moment but only because we have a student that has to walk past it every day and when its out of control I get embarrassed...I also have the french bonne maman jam jars for my buttons because they are so cute

I'm still the Queen of the messy craft room! If you wanna see mess, have a look on my Shabby Chicken blog, there's a post there with pics called "The Shame Files" :P

Small children should be able to get lost in a creative space. I LOVE yours. I want a lovely long desk like yours. Maybe...soon...

I love your mess! Oh these picks make my heart sing Christie, because well mine is the same well actually worse, I mean more messy. And I have been ashamed to do any of "ON my desk" because of that state it's in! Hurray for you and hurray for messy desks!!
