Happy Talk...

I am constantly amazed at just how different Ryder & Lo are. One point in case is speech. Ryder was a child of few words until he turned two & them they all started tumbling out. It was as if he was saving them up. He didn't even start calling me mummy until after his 2nd birthday. No joke.Lo on the other hand is a regular little chatterbox. The other day I started to count the word that she knew & could say off her own bat (without parroting me) & I got up to about 40. Not bad. She even has these funny little sentence words like 'wannageeup', translation 'I want to get up', which she can usually be heard bellowing from her cot.

The other day I asked her if she wanted a bikkie & she looked up at me and said 'cake?', aww the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

Lo is sooo cute. All mine were massive talkers & they are still hard at it!

My littlest bellowed "CAKE" one day at my girlfriend's house while standing below her at the kitchen bench. My girlfriend is a great baker and was unaware that Daphne could say much it all so it cracked her up completely. Daph's other favourites are drawniks (drawings), openik (open it) and himmy (icecream)!

Love the happy snap !!

My eldest didn't talk until he was 2 either ( I had to take him to a speechie at 18mo as he only grunted )

Although, we're back there again at 4yrs old, so i'm no poster child :)
