Jacket...

I have just almost finished this little jacket for Lo (it just needs buttons & then it is done), but I have a bit of a problem with it, I like the inside of it better than the outside!
It started out as a bit of a trial run, as I didn't have a pattern to make what I wanted so I had to be a bit creative. I really wanted to make it in navy blue wool that I have in my stash, but I decided to try making it out of linen 1st & lining it with a floral fabric that was actually a vintage pillowslip.
The whole piece turned out much better than I had hoped, but the lining looks really good! Better get that wool out now.

Don't choose, have BOTH!!! Put a button on either side and call it reversible!! That way when she messes up one side you flip it over and you have yourself a clean little cutie all over again!!! Vida x

I also LOVE the lining. If you get the closure right she'll be able to wear it both ways won't she? Double the pleasure!

I love it inside out too! The little labels are so cute! Will you be taking orders soon? :)

Lovely! May I please steal your design? It would also look great on my little one (and that lining is gorgeous)

That is so gorgeous!! Any chance of up sizing it to an adult 12? It would be gorgeous in the navy with that same lining.
You are very clever!

I agree on making it reversible.

I had quite a bit of 'reversible' clothing made for me as a youngster, and I *loved* having the option ( although there was always one way I preferred best, and in this case, I think it's the lined side too :)
