Brown Owls...

Last night was the 1st ever meeting of the Brown Owls. I was very excited last week when my pack of Brownie goodness arrived in the mail, there were lots of fun things inside & I was looking forward to checking out the clubhouse.

Naturally Brown Owls did not disappoint! Pip, Kirsty & Brooke were such great hosts & I met some really smart, funny & of course crafty gals. I was very lucky to be sitting next to Jess who makes amazing teddy bears. I have been a big fan of Jess's work for a while now having spied a couple of her lovely teddies at Mikes a while back. I really want to get one of her Panda's for Lo, they are cute as pie.And here is some Brown Owls homework that I have been working on, my tote bag. I decided to cheat a bit & add some applique. I quite like the look of him, but he doesn't have any feet as yet, so he is just kinda floating... I really should be finishing my name patch for my (yet to be made) uniform, but this little guy was a bit more fun. Can't wait for next Monday night.

THanks so much for your sweet comments about me, but I feel I was the lucky one sitting next someone as lovely as you!! And so talented too! I love that owl. It's honestly one of the best bits of applique I have seen in ages!!
