Little Climber...

Lo has become quite the little climber, as her brother was at the same age. The difference is that he was walking, whilst Willow stubbornly refuses to to anything other than cruise. I know she will do it in her own time, but I am sick of having to dress her for crawling- see my motives are entirely aesthetically driven as apposed to developmental! So tonight, freshly scrubbed & dressed for bed, Lo climbed up the couch to the windowsill in the lounge room to watch the cars go by. If the glass were ever to break there is a lovely 2 story drop to the concrete drive below, although I must say that it is a nice vantage point so I can understand her taking a quiet moment to sit & enjoy the view. After all 1 year old's know no fear. I love those little romper covered feet.
And the magic pointer finger...

Don't want to alarm you, but MC broke his first window at 6months of age, and his 2nd at about 1 1/2.

It was before I was blogging, so no link - but all he was doing was sitting on a 10cm high step when he tipped backwards and went RIGHT THROUGH THE GLASS - OMG !!!

And an old house = old glass ( non safety ), there was a giant shard poised right above his eye as I ran the 2metres ( in slo-mo ) begging him not to sit up.

So from all that, he only got a bit of a cat-scratch right down the back of his skull ... so lucky .. so lucky ... I think the glass was dangerous/defective, as I was right there, and by god, he barely tapped it.

So i'm a bit paranoid now...

I loved romper covered kids too. All of ours wore bonds wondersuits to bed until they were well over two - they had the little grippy feet. I had 2 pretty serious climbers - I admire their spunk.
