The Good, The Bad & The Blackout...

The Good: A child free night to go & see a movie*(!), have a leisurely dinner (that did not involve scoffing down dinner whilst trying to feed/distract/amuse the childerbeasts) & just generally enjoy some adult time-sigh..

The Bad: Accidentally leaving the car unlocked & having someone help themselves to our spare change & Roger's new (Xmas pressie) sunnies. The delinquent also decided to stroll through the backyard too-nice. The worst part is that I thought that we lived in a nice safe neighbourhood & now I am all paranoid.

The Blackout: Halfway through enjoying dining al fresco on a still, balmy Melbourne night (so rare), the power went out. Not just in the restaurant, but apparently in Windsor, Prahran, Malvern & St Kilda. Apparently there were a few people stuck on rides at Luna Park because of the power failure-ekk! So it wasn't quite the end to the evening that I has envisioned, as my perfect meal, always ends in dessert!

* The movie was 2 Days in Paris & we really enjoyed it. There were some laugh-out-loud moments in it & it made us want to grab our passports & jump on the next flight. I can't believe we were there less than a year ago....

Dinner and a movie - how lovely!
Its awful when something like a car break in happens. I always feel so invaded. No such thing as a nice safe neighbourhood. Bad stuff happens everywhere apparently - its just the degree to which it happens.
Another good sheet drying day today!! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
