Giving & Receiving...

As we are fast approaching the festive season, I was very excited to see some great celebratory ideas out there in blogland.

The very cool Pip from Meet me at Mikes fame came up with the fantastic idea of a handmade softie drive for the Mirabel Foundation. Here are some pics of my first softie for Mirabel, a little cotton/wool bunny that was super easy to make. I am hoping to whip up a few more toys before the deadline on the 20th of November so I should have more to share soon. If you want to check out all the cool softies being made take a peek here.

Anther creative blogger out there, Meg from Montessori by Hand has organised a Holiday Traditions Exchange. The idea is that you get paired up with someone & exchange a handmade holiday decoration, a favourite festive recipe, a description of one of your special holiday traditions as well as anything else you want to include. I am very excited about putting together a special package for my swap partner & of course there is the added bonus of receiving a special package in the mail too! I had better get busy sewing...
