Birdy...

I got the idea for this from Inside Out magazine. I am trying to decorate Willow's room & I thought a little tree full of fabric birdies would look kinda sweet on her shelves. Here is my first little birdy, it needs a little tweaking but not bad for a 1st attempt I think. Now I just need to sew a few more.
I have a few projects in the works for Willow's room at the moment. Until recently she was sharing a room with us, so I am really enjoying creating a special space just for her. It is also fun creating a space that is feminine & different to Ryder's room. What she really needs is curtains for her room, as the blinds just aren't cutting it with the beautiful light her room gets, but birdies are more fun to make. And of course I couldn't post about my baby girl without a photo of Willow herself. She had a great day today (as did we) surrounded by friends & family. We ate far too much & had a fun & relaxing day, just as Sunday's should be.

Christie you are doing a fantastic job with Miss W's room. I might have to come over and we can have a "Craft Day". I did some birds and put some sweet embroidery on them and it was not too hard, like you I copied from a magazine, to make it easier to do vast quantities (xmas decos for me) I made a template from cardboard, it also helped with uniformity... Happy sewing... Vida x x x

Hey Christie, did you see on www.tomato.com, a foodie website that they are having a get together one night in November where we bring along a dish and get together and yack. It's at vegout up the road and it sounds like fun, quite a few going and I thought you and I could go together. Are you up for it? vida x

I LOVE this birdy tree. You are so clever Christie. And I have been meaning to tell you how much I loved the ball you made for Willow. I am loving your work.
