Bedtime & Brioche...

Today the weather is cold & wet so we have chosen to remain housebound rather than head out in the rain. Roger & I have been reading & eating this:And Ryder & Willow are doing this:Ahhh, simple pleasures...

Later in the afternoon our fantastic babysitter Pénélope was back so that Rog & I could head out for a few hours. We strolled down rue Saint-Honré to Hotel Costes for a quick drink. The decor here is pretty lush (as are the drink prices) & it was nice way to warm up. From there we headed to L'atelier de Joel Robuchon for dinner. After reading that you couldn't book we arrived nice & early to discover that you can book & the restaurant was already very busy.

Luckily we got a nice, cosy spot by the window-parfait! Dinner was fantastic-start to finish & I loved that you could order wine (grand cru) by the glass, which the waiter poured from a magnum. Roger & I had a really great night here & scooted home to find Willow giggling in Pénélope's arms & Ryder happily dancing round the loungeroom!

Not long 'til we will be back on a plane & off to Dubai, at least the weather there is nice & warm!

Altogether too cute, those two cherubs are angelic. Nice to hear you are out tonight, how does the babysitter go with the kids or are they asleep when she arrives? We had dinner at Jacques Reymond last night, very nice, so I had my French fix! He was on and came out of the kitchen to say hello to a familiar diner. More rain here, cold too. Love Vida xxxx
